Students' Club
Supported by OCES Department, the Ocean Science Students' Club (OCESSC) has always been passionate about fostering an inclusive environment where OST students can come together to explore, learn, and engage in activities related to the ocean.
Ocean Science Students' Club will organize various workshops, field trips and party to provide our students opportunities to know more about each other outside the classroom.

Seafood dinner in Sai Kung
On 16th February 2024, the Ocean Science Students' Club (OCESSC) hosted a delightful seafood dinner in Sai Kung to kick off the new year and new semester. Head of Department, Prof. Jianping GAN, UG Coordinator Prof Stanley LAU, Prof. Sai Kit YEUNG, Prof. Julian MAK, Prof. Alex WYATT, Prof. Qiong ZHANG, Prof. Cindy LAM, Dr Cynthia YAU and Dr Veronica LEUNG have joined the dinner. The event, organized by Ocean Science Students' Club in collaboration with OCES Department, brought together students, faculty members and staff for an joyful evening. It provided a platform for students to connect with faculty members and establish meaningful relationships.

Alumni Sharing
An alumni sharing was taken place at SCI/Home on 31 March 2023. Ocean Science Students’ club (OCESSC) has invited experienced alumni from the ENVS Program to provide a platform for OST students to gather knowledge and ideas about career development in the science field. There are nine alumni from BSc in Environmental Science attended the sharing. Students and alumni had a great time mingling with each other and shared some thoughts and ideas.

OST students joined the Kayaking event at Sai Kung
OST students joined the Kayaking event at Sai Kung on 29 May 2021 held by OCESSC. It was a bright and sunny day, and students had gathered at Sai Kung Pier and had a walk to the Sai Kung Seaside together. It had been a while since the outbreak of pandemic for students to have outdoor activity. After warming up, students sat on the boat in groups of two to explore the ocean for the entire afternoon.
