Course and Schedule
OCES Department offers a range of courses designed to help students gain an in-depth understanding of the fundamental of ocean science and technology, and master observational, laboratory, theoretical and computational techniques in ocean related disciplines.
OCES 4964 Capstone & OCES 4974 & OCES 4984 Research project
OCES 4964 serves as a basic research training in an area of ocean science provided by the BSc Ocean Science and Technology. Students are required to conduct a literature review or research project under the supervision of a faculty member, and to submit a written report and give an oral presentation.
OCES 4974 & OCES 4984 is a two-term project and require students to undertake a research project in ocean science and technology under faculty supervision. OCES 4974 is the first part of the project. After completion of OCES 4974 in the Fall semester, students will need to register for OCES 4984 in Spring.
